Active Tel is a Western Canada–based telecom and low-voltage infrastructure company focused on building systems that continue to work long after installation day.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, we support commercial, industrial, and multi-site organizations across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan with fiber optic networks, structured cabling, access control, surveillance, and supporting infrastructure.
Why We Exist
Active Tel was built from firsthand experience working around poorly planned telecom and low-voltage installations — systems that functioned on day one but caused ongoing problems later.
Unlabeled cabling, congested racks, and infrastructure designed without future expansion in mind are common issues we see. Our approach is built around preventing those problems by prioritizing clarity, order, and long-term usability from the start.

We approach every project with a simple assumption: someone else will inherit this system.
That means designing layouts that are accessible and scalable, installing systems that integrate cleanly with existing infrastructure, and delivering work that is labeled, tested, and documented so future teams can understand it without guesswork.
